After getting a surprise invite to a FCL press conference justcantbeatthat.com went down to the Allmend to meet Lior Etter.
Full Name: Lior Etter
Age: 19
Nationality: Swiss
Position: Central midfield
2009 Shirt Number: 33
Lior is a natural offensive midfielder and is considered one of the most promising young players at FC Luzern. This season he has been coming on as a substitute a number of times late in the games. Lior has also previously been part of the Swiss U20 group though he has not yet played for his country.
justcantbeatthat.com: I doubt anyone who was at the FCL-YB game last spring has forgotten the how you single handily stole the ball from the YB defender and then took on the whole team before setting up Frimpong who scores 1-0. (55 seconds in this clip) What were you thinking?
Lior:Haha, I wasn’t really thinking, I saw the situation, I saw the pass and then I just did it.
justcantbeatthat.com:Was this your best play so far in the first team?
Lior:Last weekend I also had a good moment, against FC Zurich, playing in a good cross. But at that point we were already down by three goals so it wasn’t that important. Against YB it was 0-0 and the goal gave us a great start to the game.
justcantbeatthat.com:Fans often have clubs they dislike, either because they play boring football, have a crappy stadium or their supporters are idiots. Does players have these feelings towards specific clubs too?
Lior:(smiles) oh no no, I’m not that kind of person. I try to give my best whoever we play and I don’t really care that much who we are playing. I try to stay relaxed and focused.
justcantbeatthat.com:Do you ever read what supporters write on the internet message boards? Or newspaper comments about you?
Lior: Not that much. I am a young player, I have to focus on playing. Sometimes they call me a big talent (JCBT: oops just did that, sorry.), its not that good for me.
justcantbeatthat.com:This season you have come on as late substitute for five, two, ten minutes each time. How does this feel and what will it take for you to get into the starting lineup?
Lior: It’s not ideal to come on for only two or three minutes, you can’t do that much in such a short time. But I am young and patient. I have a chance to get in from the start, I am sure about that.
justcantbeatthat.com:And finally, what will the score be against St Gallen on Saturday and will you play?
Lior: Laughs again… I don’t think I will play from the start but its possible that I will come on as a substitute. The score? 1-0 to us.

Bitter cold and bitter disappointment.
The coldest i have ever been at a football match and 1 down after 30 seconds, with no proper alcohol on sale fucking sucked.
We showed great spirit in the second half though and couldve won 5-2. On that 2nd half performance; get your passport ready, european football is a cert!
Sorry mate, after most matches i am too wasted to remember where i live so no chance of me writing a match report.
ps. YBs support was fuckin shit.
pps. Sophia, your comment made you sound like a complete bitch. I would probably still shag you, but please try to be more productive when you next post.
Cheers
